1911 Electric Railway Dictionary
Contains an unabridged digital reproduction of the 1911 Electric Railway Dictionary, originally published by McGraw Publishing Company. The information in the text, high-resolution photographs, and dimensioned drawings are ideal for digital and scale model builders, railroad historians, rail fans, and shops preserving historic machinery.
The digital HTML format allows for browsing by page or chapter, a linked index, and the inclusion of very high resolution photographs, drawings, and diagrams. High resolution permits enlargement and printing of images for personal use with excellent legibility. HTML formatted text can be searched, copied, and pasted for reference.

RailDriver navigation buttons offer browsing by chapter or page, and quick access to the table of contents and index, which provide direct links to selected topics or pages. The above page was viewed in Internet Explorer 6.0 with a screen resolution of 1280 x 1024.

The illustrations and photographs from each page are stored as high-resolution JPG files on the CD, and may be opened by the browser or image editing software. The area outlined in blue on the image above is shown below at full resolution. The very high resolution (600 DPI) of these images allows the user to enlarge them while keeping an incredible amount of detail.
